“Zero” numbers for Zizo’s substitutes in Zamalek

Zamalek turned the tables on Ismaily in yesterday’s Egyptian football classic to win 2-1 in the 30th round of the Egyptian League at Cairo Stadium.

Ismaily took the lead through Abdel Rahman Magdy after a mistake by Nabil Emad Dunga, while Abdullah El-Saeed scored both goals for the Confederation Cup champions from the penalty spot, becoming the third highest scorer in the history of the Egyptian League with 128 goals and also receiving the Man of the Match award.

The giant “Mit Okba” raised its score to 38 points in tenth place from 24 matches, while Ismaili suffered its third consecutive defeat and its score remained at 31 points in fourteenth place from 30 matches.

Zamalek star Ahmed Sayed Zizo was absent from the match as it was decided that he would join the Olympic team camp in preparation for the Paris Olympics, which was a surprise, as there was talk about him joining the camp after the Ismaili match.

The White Knight will miss Zizo’s efforts in the matches against Tala’ea El-Geish, Baladyet El-Mahalla, El-Mokawloon and El-Gouna in the league and in Broker in the round of 32 of the Egypt Cup.

If the Egyptian national team reaches the quarter-finals and semi-finals of the Olympics, Zizo will miss his club’s matches against Enppi on August 5 and ZED on August 8, while Zizo’s return to Zamalek matches will start with the match against Tala’ea El-Geish on August 14.

Concern in Zamalek due to Zizo’s substitutes

Talking about substitutes Zizo In the right wing position, it revolves around 4 players who play with their left foot: Mahmoud Abdel-Razek Shikabala, who is injured, and the new trio Travis Mutyaba, Mahab Yasser and Mohamed Atef.

Mohamed Atef played as a left back against Ismaily, and he performed well, as he was the Zamalek player who snatched the ball the most, knowing that he faced the most dangerous Ismaily front led by Abdel Rahman Magdy.

Mahab Yasser’s passes map against Ismaili shows his failure to deliver any ball to the opponent’s penalty area

Jose Gomez relied on Mahab Yasser as a right winger, and the player failed to add anything during the entire hour of play, as he came out without a single shot, whether on or off goal, and did not create any chances, nor did he make any crosses or even dribbles.

Not only that, but the former Interior player never managed to get a single ball into Ismaily’s penalty area during the 60 minutes before he was substituted (as the picture above shows), and his passing accuracy was only 61%.

Most of Mahab Yasser’s passes were backwards and he did not make any correct forward passes, and the same applies to Travis Mutyaba who played in the number 10 position.

Mahab Yasser + Travis Mutyaba with Zamalek this season the number
minutes of play 326
Goals 0
Goal making 0
Shots on goal 0
Cross balls 0
Dodging 6
Creating opportunities 2

Looking at the performance of the duo, Mahab Yasser and Travis Mutyaba, together this season, as the table above shows, they played 362 minutes in the league and the Confederation Cup, and did not succeed in scoring or creating, and they did not have any attempts on goal.

The matter extended to their failure to send any correct cross, and they were satisfied with creating only two chances (both through Mutyaba) without Mahab Yasser “Zizo’s substitute” succeeding in creating any chance.

It is worth noting that the Ismaili match witnessed, for the first time, Zamalek leaving without a single shot, whether on or off goal, in the first half, and the team ended the match with 5 total shots, which is also its lowest number this season.

Abdallah El-Saeed leads Zamalek to a 2-1 victory over Ismaily (winwin)

Zamalek’s expected goals (xG) against Ismaily, excluding penalties, was 0.33, which is also their lowest this season. The team made only two key passes, which is also their lowest this season, one of which was through Abdallah El-Said (substitute), and the other to Ibrahima Ndaye, as shown in the image above.
