Who has the digital advantage ahead of the Egypt-Morocco Olympics?

Whatever the outcome of the third-place and bronze medal match in the football competition for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games between Egypt and Morocco, at the Olympics in France, the African continent has finally secured another medal.

The Egyptian or Moroccan Olympic team is preparing to join Ghana, Nigeria and Cameroon in reaching the podium, and it will be their first ever medal in football competitions in Olympiad.

Nigeria, the 1996 gold medallists, are the last nation to win a medal at the men’s edition of the tournament after claiming bronze at Rio de Janeiro 2016, while Cameroon won gold at the 2000 Olympics in Australia.

The match between the two teams will be held at the Stade de la Beaujoire in Nantes, and is a repeat of the African Youth Championship final in which Morocco beat the Pharaohs last year.

Egypt team competes for bronze for the third time

This will be the third time that the Egyptian team competes for the bronze medal, after losing 11-3 to Italy in Amsterdam 1928, then 3-1 to West Germany in Tokyo 1964.
