Hey Koura – Liverpool captain Virgil van Dyck issued a statement after the decision to suspend and fine him for being sent off in the Newcastle United match.

The FA charged Van Dyck with misconduct and suspended him for one match with a fine of 100,000 pounds sterling, which means Van Dyck will miss Liverpool’s next match against Wolverhampton.

Van Dyck said on social media: “This was the first dismissal I had in my career with Liverpool, I let my anger get to me in a difficult moment.”

And he continued, “I apologized to the referees immediately after the end of the match and took full responsibility. Now is the time to move on.”
