Populus announced a while ago that it had won the contract to design the Grand Casablanca Stadium, which will be built in the Ben Slimane area on an area of ​​100 hectares. This small city, located between Casablanca and Rabat, is characterised by its healthy climate and is surrounded by beautiful forests and natural parks.

Lekjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, and Abdelouafi Laftit, Minister of Interior of Morocco, presented the official and final design of the Hassan II Stadium yesterday evening, Wednesday, in an official meeting.

Lekjaa said in media statements that the Hassan II Stadium will be the most beautiful stadium in the world and Morocco will benefit from it for many years, as it has modern and advanced equipment.

Capacity of Casablanca Grand Stadium

Lekjaa pointed out that the Hassan II World Cup Stadium has a capacity of about 115,000 fans, making it one of the largest stadiums in the history of world football, in preparation for hosting the 2030 World Cup matches jointly with Portugal and Spain.

The Moroccan committee overseeing Morocco’s bid for the 2030 World Cup chose the stadium to have an exterior design inspired by the Moroccan tent, meeting security, safety and audience comfort standards, with advanced facilities in the middle of a sports village.
