The identity of the winning six was decided with Al-Nasr, Al-Ahly Benghazi and Al-Hilal qualifying for the first group, while Al-Ahly Tripoli, Al-Suwaihli and Al-Madina qualified for the second group.

Al-Dabaiba stressed, in statements reported by the official “Our Government” page on the social networking site “Facebook,” the need to unify efforts between the Football Association, the Ministry of Sports, and the clubs participating in the hexagon competitions in order to organize well and provide the necessary support to the clubs, stressing the need for the sportsmanship to prevail among the teams. Al-Dabaiba also called on the Libyan Football Association to address the two-group system in the local Premier League, noting that there is no disagreement between all Libyan clubs.

It is worth noting that the six-way competitions for the Libyan Premier League title were held in the past two seasons in sisterly Tunisia, where Al-Ittihad won the title in the 2021-22 sports season, and Al-Ahly Tripoli won the title in the past season.

Libya aims to host the 2025 Africa Junior Cup of Nations

Libyan Prime Minister Abdel Hamid Al-Dabaiba called on the Libyan Football Association to coordinate with the Ministry of Interior to put in place the necessary security arrangements to ensure the safety of the public and clubs, give sports fans the opportunity to encourage their clubs, and hold coordination meetings with the relevant security services.

The Libyan Football Association, headed by Abdul-Hakim Al-Shalmani, decides to hold a six-way tournament to win the Libyan League championship in Morocco.

Al-Dabaiba also called for the need to pay attention to the national team and provide all necessary capabilities, directing the Ministry of Sports to give priority in supporting the team in coordination with the Libyan Football Federation.

Al-Dabaiba urged the Ministry of Sports and the local Football Association to unite efforts with the aim of winning Libya’s hosting of the 2025 African Junior Cup of Nations competitions.
