The Chairman of the Referees Committee explains the validity of Al Hilal’s goal against Al-Ittihad

The Chairman of the Referees Committee of the Saudi Football Federation added, during his statements to:Saudi 360“We have an academy for Saudi referees and we choose referees from the Sunni groups to prepare them. During the four years, you will see distinguished referees, and in the 2026 World Cup there will be Saudi referees.”

He continued: “It is not true that European referees will be reserved to referee some matches. The available and best ones will be sent to referee matches. When a good European referee comes to us, this referee will be requested again, and this is what we recommend.”

He continued: “This season, we decided to display the voice of the video assistant referees in some cases to be clarified. Our ambition is greater success for the Saudi referees.”

He concluded: “I wish success to the Saudi national team, led by Roberto Mancini, and reaching higher levels in all tournaments.”
