The 387,000 Euro Case.. El-Honi’s Agent Offers the Easiest Solution to Taraji


Algerian Nassim Al-Saadawi, the agent of Libyan player Hamdou El-Houni, confirmed that his client is fully prepared to sit at the negotiating table with officials of his former team, Tunisian club Taraji, in order to reach a settlement to obtain his delayed financial dues, which are estimated at 387 thousand euros.

Last Monday, the FIFA Dispute Resolution Committee ruled on the dispute between the Libyan player and the Tunisian club, which will pay – according to the FIFA ruling – 387 thousand euros in addition to late payment interest in favor of Hamdou Elhouni, which is represented by late salaries and bonuses that the Libyan star did not receive.

Algerian Nassim Al-Saadawi, the agent of Libyan player Hamdou Elhouni, presented the easiest solution to the Tunisian club, Taraji, in order to end the dues crisis, saying in a special statement to the WinWin website: “The Tunisian club, Taraji, knows the Libyan player, Hamdou Elhouni, very well. He is a respectable player with morals and principles. If the officials of the Tunisian club, Taraji, contacted the player in order to reach a serious and friendly settlement, Elhouni would accept that and there would be no problems between the two parties.”

He continued: “Until this moment, there are no contacts between the player Hamdou Elhouni and the Taraji club, and we have to wait for the coming days, perhaps there will be solutions away from problems and legal disputes.”

Esperance prepares a file to appeal the 387,000 euro case

Since the FIFA ruling was issued, the officials of the Tunisian club, Taraji, have tasked the club’s legal committee with preparing a complete file that includes appealing the ruling of the FIFA Dispute Resolution Committee and responding to Hamdou Elhouni’s complaint through official documents regarding the Libyan player receiving a large portion of his dues in the form of salaries.

This file will be sent to the FIFA Dispute Resolution Committee, and the case of the Tunisian club, Taraji, and the Libyan player may reach the International Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) for a final decision.

Al-Huni.. A career full of achievements with Esperance Tunis

The player joined Taraji in January 2019 from Portuguese club Desportivo Aves and played for them until 2023. During his career with the Tunisian club, he played 136 matches in all competitions, during which he scored 25 goals and provided 27 assists. He was a prominent figure in the team and helped it win a number of important titles.

During his career with Taraji, the Libyan star won seven titles, the most important of which were the African Champions League in 2019 and the Tunisian League on 4 occasions, in addition to two other titles in the local Super Cup.

The 30-year-old player participated with Esperance in the 2019 Club World Cup held in Qatar, and the Libyan star entered the history of the tournament when he succeeded in scoring 3 goals in his team Esperance’s match against Qatari Al-Sadd in the match to determine the fifth and sixth places in the world tournament, becoming the first Arab and African to score a hat-trick in the history of the tournament.
