Saudi club announces signing of Abdul-Ilah Al-Malki from Al-Hilal

Al-Ettifaq Club announced its competitor in the championship Saudi Roshen League Officially signed a contract with midfield star Abdul-Ilah Al-Malki, coming from Al-Hilal, during the current summer transfer window.

The Saudi international is expected to join the Al-Ettifaq Saudi Club camp in the Spanish city of La Manga today, Tuesday, to prepare for the new football season.

Al-Hilal announced during the past few days the departure of: Tired of Al-Harbi Salman Al-Faraj, Saleh Al-Shehri, and Abdul-Ilah Al-Maliki were also removed from the ranks of the leader, in a broad change campaign carried out by the club’s technical director, Jorge Jesus, in preparation for the upcoming 2024-25 season.

Al-Ittifaq had tried to sign Al-Maliki in the last winter transfer window, but its inability to provide financial liquidity prevented the completion of the deal, especially after the strong summer deals concluded by the club, such as Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum, Demarai Gray, Moussa Dembele and Jack Hendry.

It is noteworthy that Al-Maliki’s contract with Al-Hilal was to continue for another 3 years, i.e. until June 30, 2026, noting that he joined the ranks of the leader coming from Al-Ittihad for one and a half million euros, according to the global “Transfer Market” platform.

It is noteworthy that Al-Ettifaq finished last season in sixth place in the Saudi Roshen League standings, with 48 points, and the Knight of Al-Dahna seeks to appear at a distinguished level in the upcoming season 2024-25 under the leadership of Steven Gerrard, and improve its level, knowing that it only achieved 12 wins last season in the Saudi League.
