Raja defeats the Royal Army and wins the Throne Cup, achieving the double

The Raja Casablanca team won the Moroccan Throne Cup, defeating the Royal Army by two goals to one, in the final match that took place between them on Monday evening, at the “Adrar” Stadium in the city of Agadir.

Raja’s ninth title in the Throne Cup

Al-Akhdar entered the final match of the Throne Cup without introductions, after Algerian professional Yousry Bouzouk succeeded in scoring the first goal in the 6th minute, taking advantage of a pass from his colleague Adam Al-Nafati that changed direction after it hit the defence.

The Royal Army was able to adjust the score through its star, Amin Zahzouh, who raised the ball over Anas Zniti, Raja’s goalkeeper, taking advantage of a beautiful pass from captain Rabih Harimat in the 28th minute.

In the second half, the Eagles returned to take the lead again, adding the second goal through their player, Mohamed Boulksout, in the 79th minute. The Eagles maintained their lead until the end, to be crowned with the title in a historic season.

With this coronation, Raja has achieved its ninth title in the Throne Cup competition, after the years 1974, 1977, 1982, 1996, 2002, 2005, 2012, 2017, and then 2024.

Raja ended the season under the leadership of its German coach, Josef Zinnbauer, without defeat, achieving a historic record.
