The Algerian Football Federation is close to completing the procedures for changing the sports nationality of promising professional players, and they are scheduled to join the Algerian national team camp next September, according to media outlets issued today, Monday, August 5.
Algeria will play two matches in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers during September, against Equatorial Guinea and Liberia.
With the start of preparations for the upcoming Greens camp, reports indicated that coach Vladimir Petkovic gave the Algerian Federation the green light to complete the naturalization of promising players, and it is likely that the Federation President, Walid Saadi, will complete the process within days.
Aouchiche and Farsi on the doorstep of the Algerian national team
According to Algerian radio, both Adil Aouchiche, the playmaker for English club Sunderland, and Mohamed Farsi, the midfielder for American club Columbus, are on the verge of joining the upcoming Algerian national team camp, after completing most of the naturalization procedures.
