Moroccan historical champion Nawal El Moutawakel commented on the case of Algerian boxer Iman Khalif in the tournament Olympic Games Summer “Paris 2024”; where Khalifa was subjected to a wave of inappropriate statements, against the backdrop of her fight with the Italian Angela Carmini, in the round of 16 competitions for the 66 kg weight.

Nawal El Moutawakel, who holds the position of Vice President of the International Olympic Committee, followed Bach’s approach, as she confirmed that the latter spoke about the issue in a clear and understandable manner for everyone.
Al-Mutawakel indicated her conviction that Iman Khalif was being treated unjustly, when she said that the International Olympic Committee has specialized doctors who decide on medical issues, which is what happened in the Algerian boxing crisis, where it was proven to Thomas, Bach, and members of the international body that Khalif was eligible to participate.
