The Egyptian club Al-Ahly is looking for a new left-back to sign during the current summer transfer window, in light of the injury of its Tunisian star Ali Maaloul with a partial tear in the Achilles tendon.
According to the newspaper,the morning“Moroccan, the Egyptian club Al-Ahly wants to sign Jamal Chamakh from Hassania Agadir in the summer transfer window.
The newspaper said in its report that the Egyptian club Al-Ahly had already submitted an offer to the officials of the Moroccan club, but the management of Hassania Agadir rejected the offer submitted by the Cairo club.
The club officials’ decision to reject the player, Jamal Chamakh, led him to rebel against his club, and he was absent from his team’s last training session.
The Moroccan team is currently in the United Arab Emirates, in order to hold an external camp in preparation for the upcoming 2024-25 season, and Jamal Chamakh refused to attend the team’s training during the past 48 hours, due to his anger at the club’s management for rejecting Al-Ahly’s offer.
Karim Fouad, Omar Kamal Abdel Wahed, and Karim El-Dabbas are currently playing as left backs for Al-Ahly, after the main left back, Ali Maaloul, was injured during his participation with Al-Ahly in the African Champions League.
Maaloul suffered a partial tear in his Achilles tendon last May, during his team Al-Ahly’s match against Esperance Sportive de Tunis, at Stade Olympique de Rades, in the first leg of the CAF Champions League final.
