Libyan League.. 3 clubs set 5 conditions for the six-time tournament

The clubs of the city of Benghazi, Al-Ahly, Al-Nasr and Al-Hilal, placed 5 conditions on the table of the President of the Libyan Football Federation, Abdul-Hakim Al-Shalmani, in order to participate in the matches of the crowning stage of the Libyan Premier Football League title, in the current sports season 2023-24.

The clubs expressed their concern about the bitter reality that Libyan football is experiencing, with chaos and confusion affecting Libyan society in general. They pointed out that integrity must be available, with respect for the regulations, far from what they described as manipulation and fraud.

Al-Nasr, Al-Ahly Benghazi, Al-Hilal, Al-Ahly Tripoli, Al-Suwaihli and Al-Madina teams will compete, starting from the fourth of July, in the stadiums of the Italian capital, Rome, in order to determine the identity of the champion of the Libyan Premier League in its 49th edition.

A triple demand that the government not interfere in the Libyan league system

Al-Ahly Benghazi, Al-Nasr and Al-Hilal clubs demanded in an official statement – obtained by the “website”win win“On a copy of it – the Libyan Football Federation that the government’s role be limited to providing support and not interfering in determining the date of the start of the competition, which has changed more than once, as it is the original jurisdiction of the Football Federation’s Board of Directors and its committees, and so that it is not subject to international sanctions.

The clubs also demanded that the Libyan Federation adhere to what was agreed upon with the Six-a-League clubs, in the meeting held at the headquarters of the Libyan Football Association on June 10 of this year, on the basis of which the draw for the Six-a-long League was held, noting that the start date of the competition had been violated. It was scheduled for June 24, which resulted in confusion for the teams.

Al-Ahly Benghazi, Al-Nasr and Al-Hilal clubs are demanding foreign referees

Al-Ahly Benghazi, Al-Nasr and Al-Hilal clubs demanded the Libyan Football Association to officially announce the foreign refereeing crews for all six-a-side league matches, and stipulated that the referees be international and classified as Elite (A) level by FIFA.

Benghazi clubs Al-Ahly, Al-Nasr and Al-Hilal also demanded in their joint statement that the lists of players in the six-team league be announced, for all participating teams to review.

The statement issued by the three clubs, Al-Ahly Benghazi, Al-Nasr and Al-Hilal, concluded with the fifth condition, which is that the Libyan Football Association, headed by Abdul-Hakim Al-Shalmani, explicitly and officially allow all teams in the six-party league to resort to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

The matches of the six-team championship for the Libyan Premier League football competition will be held in one stage (first leg only), and the first-place team will obtain the title in its forty-ninth edition.
