Lamine Yamal broke the record for the youngest scorer in the history of the Euro, which was held by the Swiss, Johan Vonlanthen, who scored a goal in Euro 2004 in Portugal, when he was 18 years and 141 days old.

Lamine Yamal had previously achieved a historic achievement, after becoming the youngest player to participate in a match in the history of the European Nations Cup, at the age of 16 years and 338 days; breaking the previous record held by Poland’s Kasper Kozlowski in the 2020 edition, at the age of 17 years and 246 days; after his participation against Croatia in the first round of the group stage.

So far in the Euro, Yamal has participated in six matches, three in the group stage and three in the knockout stages, scoring one goal against France and providing three assists.
