Issa Al-Aidouni between European offers and the efforts of Gulf clubs

It has become difficult for the Tunisian international midfielder, Issa Al-Aidouni (27 years old), to continue with the German club Union Berlin in the next season, and the club will move to sell him in the current summer transfer market, according to the magazine Build German.

Al-Aidouni joined Union Berlin in the middle of the 2022-2023 season, coming from the Hungarian team Ferencvaros for 2.6 million euros, but the Carthage Eagle was unable to clearly impose himself in the main lineup of the German capital team.

After just one and a half seasons, Union Berlin are set to sell Issa Al-Aidouni after a number of clubs expressed interest in signing him.

According to various media outlets, Al-Eidouni’s future has been torn between Turkey and the Gulf, after the Turkish club Trabzonspor showed great interest in signing him recently, in addition to the Qatari club Al-Wakrah, and a club from the Saudi Roshen League whose name has not been revealed.

According to reports, Union Berlin will demand at least €5 million for the sale of Al-Aidouni, who is under contract with the team until 2027.

Union Berlin’s head of recruitment, Oliver Ronnert, explained in an interview with the magazine: Kicker German a few weeks ago, that Al-Eidouni must accept the reality if he wants to continue at the club, and he said: “He is not a basic player, he has to accept that.”

Media outlets indicated that Issa Al-Aidouni aims to leave Union Berlin in search of more playing minutes, as he places European leagues as a priority, and if he does not find a suitable offer, moving to the Qatari or Saudi league will be a very likely option.
