Egyptian Mohamed Elneny bids farewell to Arsenal with touching words

The Egyptian midfielder concluded his message by saying: “I will see you on Sunday (facing Everton) at the Emirates Stadium to bid you farewell face to face.”

Elneny joined Arsenal in January 2016, coming from Swiss club Basel in a deal worth 12.5 million euros, after spending 3 seasons with the Swiss club.

Since joining the English team, Elneny has participated in 161 matches for Arsenal in all competitions, and succeeded in scoring 6 goals, including his famous goal against Barcelona in the Champions League, in addition to 10 assists.

The Egyptian star won three championships with the North London club, where he won the Charity Shield Championship twice (2018 and 2021), in addition to the FA Cup title in 2017.

It is worth noting that the Egyptian international, who has 98 appearances for the Pharaohs national team, joined the Turkish club Fenerbahce on loan from Arsenal in the 2019-20 season, and participated with them in 36 matches.

At the club level in general, Elneny participated in 380 matches with all the teams he played for, contributing 45 goals (scoring 20 and making 25), in addition to winning 7 championships (3 with Arsenal and 4 with Basel).
