Today, Wednesday, August 7, the draw for the West Asian Junior Championship was held, which will be held in Jordan from September 2nd to 11th.
The draw, which was designed to avoid teams drawn in the same group in the Asian qualifiers for the AFC U-17 Championship, placed hosts Jordan at the top of Group A, alongside Iraq and Lebanon.

Yemeni national team The title holder in the last edition, which was held in Oman, headed the second group along with the runner-up, the Saudi national team and the Omani national team, while the third group included the teams of Bahrain, Syria and Palestine.
The tournament matches will be played in a single-stage league system, with the champions of the three groups qualifying for the second round, in addition to the best team that comes in second place in the three groups.
The tournament will be held in the Jordanian city of Zarqa, and the first round matches will be held from the second to the seventh of September, while the semi-final matches will be held on the ninth of the same month, while the final match will be held at Prince Mohammed Stadium on the eleventh of the same month.
