Al-Ahly club achieved a fatal victory over Smouha With a clean goal, he succeeded in winning the Egyptian League title for the 2023-24 season for the forty-fourth time in its history, today, Thursday.
Al-Ahly Club hosted Smouha of Alexandria at the “Borg El Arab” stadium in Alexandria, in a postponed match from the twenty-fourth round of the Egyptian Premier League.
Thus, the number of titles achieved by Al-Ahly Club reaches 44 titles in the tournament. Al-Ahly fails to decipher Smouha’s defense
The Red Devils’ attack, led by Swiss coach Marcel Koller, was unable to crack the Alexandrian defense code over the first 45 minutes.
The first attempts in the match were made by the guests, after a pass in the third minute, which put Wissam Abu Ali in a semi-one-on-one position on the left side to shoot, but the ball hit Smouha’s defense and went out for a corner kick.

In the second half, the guests continued their attempts, but the victory was delayed until the last minute in order to officially decide the Egyptian League title.
In minute (52), Wissam Abu Ali tried to shake Smouha’s net with a powerful shot, but the Alexandrian defense cleared the ball, leaving Smouha’s net clean without goals.
Wissam Abu Ali returned to try to score against Smouha again in minute (70), after a cross from the right side, and Abu Ali tried to shoot a double backhand ball, but it passed over his leg.
The referee added 9 minutes of stoppage time, and in the stoppage time in the (90+5) minute, Al-Ahly managed to score the winning goal with a knockout kick through its star, Mohamed Magdy Qafsha.
Qafsha scored the winning goal for Al-Ahly, after receiving a perfect pass from Omar Kamal, and he received it comfortably and shot into Al-Hani Soliman’s net from inside the penalty area.
With this victory, the Red Devils reached 81 points at the top of the Egyptian Premier League table and were officially crowned champions, while Smouha’s tally froze at 48 points in sixth place.
